I had the privilege of learning under Ed for my driving lessons and I cannot recommend him enough. I started with Ed after failing to progress with a previous driving instructor, Ed stripped my previous learning right back, started me off as a new student right from the start and taught me all I needed to know. Nothing was too much! From the first lesson to the day of my test Ed was nothing but highly professional, calming and supportive throughout all my lessons and was able to tend lessons to areas I needed to work on within my driving. He was supportive of my extreme nerves as-well as guided me through manoeuvres I felt I wasn't confident enough in myself even though Ed believed in me.

I cannot fault Ed's driving school one bit, Ed is highly professional, arrived on time if not early every single lesson, had a well tuned, mechanically sound car that I felt was much easier to learn to drive in than previous cars I had tried. He was able to give me clear guided instructions on lessons as well as showing me detailed print outs of manoeuvres so I could visually see them before partaking in them. Ed's level of teaching is high quality with incredible results at the end. His calming, relaxing nature leaves any learner (especially nervous ones) completely at ease and will guide them with any support or help they require.
Ed's lesson prices and variety of options (such as 2hr lessons, block lessons, intense courses etc) provides a high level of options for each individual learner and tailors them to what you need. His pass results speak volumes!

I cannot thank Ed enough for all his hard work, time, support and dedication in supporting me through my lessons right up to the test. You will not find another driving instructor like Ed, he is one in a million and he provides safe, secure and practical future drivers for a safer world!.

Was looking for an intensive course and come across Ed’s driving school. Could’ve have asked for anything better great service! Ed’s made me really confident and wouldn’t have been able to pass without him! If your looking for a quick pass and to feel comfortable your looking at the right instructor! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

I approached Ed to support me with my own training to become a driving instructor. He sat in on a couple of my lessons and gave me feedback and great constructive advice towards what I needed to do for my final instructor exam which really helped bring the theory to practice and led me to qualifying myself in November 2024.

Ed has a friendly, non judgemental approach and you can tell he really wants to help you discover your own style of learning whilst offering his own expertise and experiences where needed.

We also met up for a couple of coffees to just talk stuff through with the wider aspects of the job which was extremely useful in terms of my CPD.

started my tests in early september and passed first time mid october. the intense course is a good way to get on the road as quick and as safely as you can.
ed is very passionate, excellent and calming about is job and enjoys teaching his students. he puts the enthusiasm that any nervous driver would need when getting in a car for the first time. he starts conversations and keeps them flowing. along with always ensuring that your being safe when in his car.
not only did i pass quickily, i also passed safely and a lot more confident then i was a month ago.

Ed is awesome! He’s not just an excellent instructor; he has transformed me from a hesitant driver into a confident one in little over a month. Ed himself is friendly, relaxed, and approachable which really helps to ease any nerves, or discuss concerns behind the wheel. Despite me asking every question possible, Ed still gave a useful answer every time.

Ed also offers a great level of support outside of lessons, with all my payments, lesson plans, and progress tracked and available through an app updated after each lesson. On top, Ed went the extra mile and helped when booking short notice cancellation test.

Ed is a very very hands on driving instructor he is absolutely amazing! Always supports and whenever you get nervous or anything he always supports and tells you the right way to do something when driving or calms you down and supports! I have never had such an amazing driving instructor like ed he’s an amazing instructor I would 100% recommend him!

Ed is without a doubt the best driving instructor I’ve ever had. He was calm and made me feel so comfortable from day one. We took things at my speed and he also allowed me to go over things again if I felt I needed to. There was never any pressure and if I made a mistake he would laugh it off and show me again! Driving is a tough situation but I would 100% go through it again if I could learn with Ed again! He was so flexible around uni, work, family commitments and my sister has already started saving to learn with him!! I did an intensive course and learnt to drive in a month! Can not fault him.

Passed my driving test a few days ago thanks to Ed. He's a great instructor, always calm and very patient throughout the lessons. He was extremely flexible especially when i needed picking up at different times & places every lesson!

I never thought I’d be writing a review about how amazing my driving instructor was. Not because I had low expectations but because I never ever believed I’d have a driving licence and my own car! I would never have been able to do it without Ed. From my very first lesson Ed was calm, extremely patient and had belief in me. I remember getting in the car and saying I don’t think i can do this and he told me I could… and I did. I may have hit a few bumps (and traffic cones) along the way but he never once made me feel stupid nor did he bat an eyelid at my mistakes. Just carried on and made sure I didn’t do it again. Eds Driving School, well what can i say? You can't get a better instructor than Ed!! Having Adhd... its a real struggle to stay focused and remember things! Even seeing cones was a nightmare(having to count how far apart they are 🤣) but this was never a problem for Ed!! He always managed to make me concentrate! Ed is absolutely amazing at accommodating your needs and the way you need to learn. He adapts his learning for what suits you. He finds a way to teach you regardless. I passed first time with Ed because of him!! He will find a way to teach the most unteachable!!! Thankyou Ed.

I cannot recommend Ed's Driving School more to anyone who is learning to drive! Ed took me on my first driving lesson today after 3 long years of not being behind the wheel and he was incredible. He listened to everything I had previously learnt with another instructor, he took on board all my worries and concerns of things I needed to work on & still yet to learn and completely put me at ease. The kindest and loveliest driving instructor Iv ever come across!. I was absolutely amazed at how relaxed and comfortable I felt in the car with Ed while he directed me and took me on my first lesson back and how incredible the App he uses to keep not only him updated on my progress reports by myself too of what Iv achieved, what level I’m working at and what is still needing practice & to be learnt. This gives me a clear indicator (no pun intended) of how far I have left to go. I started today a ball of nerves & worries and have left todays lesson feeling positive, ambitious and excited for next weeks lessons! Amazing prices including several different hourly rates & block lesson discounts! Thankyou Ed, a driving instructor like you is very hard to come by.
